American Friends of Yad Eliezer

In 1981 a group of people residing in the United States, dedicated to helping Israel and its poorest citizens, were determined to find an outlet that matched their concerns and interests. They connected with Agudat Yad Eliezer, an organization that was doing just that. It was officially chartered as a recognized entity of the State of Israel and it was feeding the poor of Jerusalem on a massive scale.

Yad Eliezer Inc. was incorporated in the state of New York in 1981, re-incorporated as American Friends of Yad Eliezer in 1999, and has worked ever since, to expand and improve its services in Israel. In 2021, American Friends of Yad Eliezer teamed up with B'ezri to allocate funds even more directly and efficiently than ever before.

Today, American Friends of Yad Eliezer, alongside B'ezri, feeds, clothes and helps to educate over 100,000 families annually, throughout the State of Israel.

They do this by providing multi-faceted forms of relief for families in need, via over 18 programs including food and baby formula voucher distributions, allocation of funds for emergency assistance, support for single mothers, job training and many other services that help people overcome years of neglect and deprivation.

American Friends of Yad Eliezer is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service. The Federal Tax ID number for American Friends of Yad Eliezer is 11-3459952.
